What is walk-and-talk therapy?

Walk-and-talk therapy is a supportive, one-on-one conversation that takes place while walking outdoors instead of sitting in an office or online. It’s a relaxed, natural way to talk through what’s on your mind while moving in a calming environment.

Are you a licensed therapist or psychologist?

I’m not a licensed therapist or psychologist. My sessions are not clinical therapy, but they provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space for meaningful conversations. I focus on helping people feel heard, gain clarity, and explore personal challenges in a more natural setting.

What kinds of issues can I talk about?

You can talk about anything that’s on your mind, whether it’s stress, relationships, decision-making, self-confidence, or just needing someone to listen. My role is to provide a supportive space for reflection, clarity, and personal growth.

 

How long is a session?

Sessions typically last 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute sessions for those who prefer more time.

 

Where do the walks take place?

Currently, I offer walk&talk sessions along the Merri Creek Trail in Brunswick East, in Princes Park, Edinburgh Gardens, and along the Yarra River starting from Fed Square, but if none of these are accessible for you, please reach out before booking, and we can discuss what other options might work.

 

What if I’m not very fit?

That’s completely fine! The pace is set by you. These sessions are not about fitness but about conversation and connection. We walk at a comfortable pace that suits you.

 

What if I don’t know what to talk about?

You don’t need to have a specific topic in mind. Our conversations will flow naturally, and I can gently guide the discussion if needed.

 

What if I feel uncomfortable during the walk?

Your comfort is a priority. If at any point you feel uneasy or prefer to pause the session, we can adjust accordingly. The goal is for you to feel safe and supported.

 

How do I pay for a session?

Payment is made after the session via bank transfer.

 

What if I book a session but need to cancel?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please get in touch through the contact form at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% fee as that time has been set aside only for you. Thank you for understanding.

 

What happens if it rains?

If the weather is bad, we can either reschedule or find an alternative location. Light rain is usually fine, but we can decide together if the session should go ahead.

 

Can I bring someone with me?

These sessions are designed for one-on-one conversations, but if you feel more comfortable bringing someone along, let’s discuss it in advance.

 

How do I book a session?

You can book a session through the website. Please click on any "Book a session" or "Book now" buttons or select "Plans" in the menu to get to the booking form. If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out.
